Villa Escondida is a large, modern, vacation home right in San Juan Del Sur so you can walk everywhere in town. A big swimming pool is surrounded by gardens, sundecks and shady terraces offering great views and relaxing escapes. Inside are two spacious air-conditioned suites, a Gran Sala with Gourmet Kitchen and a third Bedroom/Loft with private entry and bathroom.
ABOUT TOWN AND BEYOND
When you do want to explore the beautiful bay and town it’s Just a five minute walk to the beach or market (mercado). San Juan Del Sur is also full of restaurants and shops perfect for your tourist experience. There is a wide range of cuisine whether you prefer street food, beach front snacks or high end restaurants with fresh catch of the day, You don't have to go far for Nicaragua’s world famous rum or ice cold beer. Happy Hours are almost everywhere with plenty of live entertainment and there is even a craft brewery in town.
An early morning walk or run on the flat San Juan Del Sur beach might be a nice start to your day. Perhaps you would prefer some yoga, a swim or even a climb at the north end of the cove to the largest statue of Christ in Central America. Bring your camera for fantastic views of San Juan Del Sur and south to Costa Rica.
If a different adventure is more your thing then perhaps you should book a horse ride on the forest trails and beach. You can rev up your holiday with a four wheel ATV adventure or fly through the trees on a canopy tour zip line. Further afield are multiple beaches each with it’s own character. Regular shuttles go to all the favourites including Playa Majugual and Playa Maderas to the north for the young party scene and big surf breaks or the quiet Playa Hermosa to the south for beginner wave riders or just chillin' away the afternoon in a palapa bar. If a boat trip suits you better private ponga rides to even quieter beaches are available, a full day sailing trip with beach lunch or sport fishing for some big ones in the Pacific.
You may want to venture further with day trips into historic Granada, market town Masaya, a volcano climb or bird watching in a national park. All are possible whether on your own or we can hook you up with one of SJDS’s local tour operators. At the end of your day, come back to Villa Escondida to unwind with a dip in the pool, a refreshing beverage and a night of stargazing!
